The Central European Hotel Train

The Danube Express is also available on a private charter basis for up to 50 passengers in addition to our programme of journeys available for individual bookings.

To see the highlights of Central Europe the following is a suggested charter route though other routes are possible:

Itinerary:

Day 1

After a welcome reception depart Budapest mid morning with lunch on the train.  Afternoon in Bratislava with sightseeing tour including the Old Town and Castle.  Dinner on board as the train continues overnight to Poland.

Day 2

Arrive in Cracow after breakfast where the morning tour includes Wavel Castle and the Cloth Hall.  Lunch in a local restaurant, then afternoon visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mines – a World Heritage Site.  Dinner on board as the journey cntinues overnight to the Czech Republic.

Day 3

Full day in Prague with a tour to include St Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge and lunch in the Old Town.  Enjoy a farewell dinner as the Danube Express travels south, overnight, to Austria.

Day 4

After breakfast, disembark in Vienna.

This route would include:

Accommodation on the Danube Express comprising up to 20 Deluxe twin compartments with lower beds and en suite shower/WC plus any required single and/or 2-berth Classic compartments with wash basin (shower available).

One lunch, three dinners and three breakfasts on the Danube Express, all served in our Restaurant car in a single sitting.

Complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks with meals and in the Lounge car but excluding premium wines and spirits.

Excursions as outlined above with English-speaking local guide and including lunches in Cracow and Prague.
