The Danube Express is a distinctive “Hotel on Wheels” that enables you to explore exceptional and interesting places across Europe. We believe that the journey is to be enjoyed as much as the destinations. The glamour of the Danube Express lies in the experience - the style and service on board.

A unique combination of modern comfort with traditional ambience, this is a private train where the emphasis is on comfort, informality and fun. This is your holiday to enjoy so there is no formal dress code - dress as you wish and whichever accommodation you chose, you will have access to a shower. Our beautifully appointed new Deluxe sleeping compartments have two lower beds and en suite shower/WC. Compartments in our Classic cars are steeped in history but that modern essential, a shower, is available at the end of the car. With upper and lower berths, they are ideal for single travellers.

Dining in our Restaurant cars will awaken your senses with an inimitable fusion of fine food, good company and panoramic views. Our Lounge car, has a warm and friendly atmosphere and is the perfect rendezvous to meet with fellow travellers and indulge in relaxed conversation, a pre-dinner drink or simply to listen to a favourite tune from our pianist.

Our exciting itineraries feature scenic daytime travel on the Danube Express. At stops en route in intriguing places, you are free to join the included sightseeing tour, explore on your own or simply rest on board. All meals on your journey are included and complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks are served in the Restaurant and Lounge.

With destinations as diverse as Prague, Vienna and Istanbul, the stunning countryside of Transylvania and Moravia, visits to World Heritage sites and a choice of journeys ranging from two days to the iconic overland route from London to Istanbul, The Istanbul Odyssey, there is something for everyone.
